Florida rock giants Anberlin have just announced via their Facebook page that they are pulling out of all of their upcoming UK tour dates.
The band are unfortunately having to cancel the previously planned October dates in order to pursue a tour supporting the Smashing Pumpkins on their US and Canadian tour.
Currently, the UK tour is looking to be rescheduled for January 2013, in which all tickets will remain valid but as of yet this is unconfirmed.
In a statement issued on Anberlin‘s Facebook page, the band had this to say: “Hello friends, we are writing with some exciting, yet understandably frustrating news. We are thrilled to say that we have been invited to open for the Smashing Pumpkins in Canada & the US!! The unfortunate aspect to this is it means we are forced to reschedule our UK dates. We are actively working (as we speak) on moving our UK dates to January, and any tickets purchased will be honored at these rescheduled dates. We will be announcing those within a matter of days. Please know we can’t wait to come back to the UK!!”
