At the ‘Imperial Ball 8 Hot Rods & Music’ event in California, four mega stars got together on stage to perform a bundle of smash hits.
The event, sponsored by Deusenberg Guitars, saw iconic Hollywood eccentric Johnny Depp reassemble The Kids, the Florida band he played in before his acting career went stratospheric; Johnny, Bruce Witkin (head of indie label Unison Music, home of The Tricks and Babybird) and Joey Malone were the house band for the night, cranking out the classics.
The star quality took a turn for the legendary when The Kids brought out their guest vocalists. Shock rock king Alice Cooper performed his classic anthem ‘School’s Out’, and a cover of the Rolling Stones’ ‘Jumpin’ Jack Flash’. The weird and wonderful Marilyn Manson came out to sing as well as Aerosmith’s mammoth-mouthed Toxic Twin Steven Tyler.
Unfortunately there have been no whispers of the Supergroup recording any material together… yet.
