Things just seem to be going from bad to worse for legendary Aussie rockers AC/DC. With rhythm guitarist Malcolm Young leaving the band in 2014 and drummer Phil Rudd arrested for death threats and drug charges, you’d hope that a little luck would shine on the group.
Unfortunately not it seems.
According to reports by Consequence Of Sound, vocalist Brian Johnston has been forced to retire from touring with immediate effect due or otherwise face “total hearing loss”.
In a press release the band postponed the rest of their US tour. The press release notes that the shows will be rescheduled later this year “likely with a guest vocalist.”
What this means for the future of AC/DC remains to be seen, but questions must surely be asked with the very quick loss of core members of the group.
