To celebrate the release of their self-titled debut album, Weaves have unveiled the video to the single ‘Tick’. In line with their expansive and hook driven sound, the video (directed by Benjamin Dabu) shows the band guiding (..well leading) comedian Chris Locke through a mid-life crisis.
“The video is about the incessant ticking of the clock, nagging at you to realize your dreams, and the gentle reminder that sometimes dreams should remain fantasy,” says the band’s guitarist Morgan Waters, who also helped edit the video. “Music makes you feel young. But what happens when you’re suddenly the old guy at a party trying to get the roach going? Our friend, and brilliant comedian Chris Locke, plays a man who stares into the void, hears our song and experiences a midlife crisis.”
Check out the video for ‘Tick’ above. The band’s self titled debut album is out now.
