If you think the name sounds familiar, you may remember her as the little lady with the big voice from rock band Morningwood, who are “catchier than Chlamydia hooks” (as described by Rolling Stone). And, if you haven’t heard of her before, but you like Mindless Self Indulgence, you may well have heard her voice on tracks such as: ‘Ala Mode‘, ‘Stalkers (Slit My Wrists)‘ and ‘Ass Backwards‘ as she is also the wife of their lead singer Jimmy Urine!
Ahead of her first ever solo show in the UK at Madame Jo Jo’s – Soho, London – we caught up with, Chantal Claret.
We chat about how touring solo compared to touring with Morningwood, find out more about what it’s like working with Jimmy, and we also got to know how much she loves England!
