The Black Keys’ Collaborate With Michael Kiwanuka – Audio

Black Keys and BBC Sound Of 2012 winner team up for new track ‘Lasan’. Listen here!

The collaboration between The Black Keys’ Dan Auerbach and Michael Kiwanuka has been posted online. The track ‘Lasan’, will be the B-side to Kiwanuka’s new single ‘I’m Getting Ready’, which will feature on the singer’s debut album, ‘Home Again’, which is set for release on March 12.

Speaking about the track previously, Auerbach said: “It was great, really quick. We went and did it really quick at Ray Davies’ studio. It was nice. Obviously his voice is amazing the songs are cool. The production on that stuff is great too – I like what the guy is doing.”

The Black Keys released their seventh studio album ‘El Camino’ in December last year. Auerbach recently stated that he and drummer Patrick Carney will be playing UK festivals this summer, but couldn’t reveal which ones as they were ‘top secret’, he hinted that they had already begun planning the follow-up to their last LP.

In January Kiwanuka was named as the winner of the BBC’s Sound Of 2012 poll, beating Frank Ocean and Azealia Banks. Previous nominees and winners have included Adele, Franz Ferdinand, Keane, Jessie J and Bloc Party
