Radiohead have finally broken the silence and revealed the first single from their upcoming 9th album. The track, entitled ‘Burn The Witch’ will be available on all digital platforms beginning tomorrow, May 4th.
The video is directed by Chris Hopewell and features a cast of puppets that strongly resemble the characters from children’s TV show Trumpton. This being Radiohead, things take a more sinister turn…
Speculation over their upcoming album, the first since 2011’s King Of Limbs, has been rife for the last few days after the band deleted all previous content on their website and social media accounts. Teasers for the Burn The Witch video appeared online this morning, before the video was unveiled a few hours later. Prior to that, some fans of the band received a mail out that read “Sing a song of sixpence that goes/Burn the Witch/We know where you live.”
Radiohead are due to play three dates at London’s Camden Roundhouse on 26/27/28th of May.
