Mazzy Star Talk About First New Album For 17 Years

Mazzy Star‘s David Roback has spoken to Rolling Stone about the band’s upcoming new release ‘Seasons Of Your Day‘, the first album release from the group for 17 years. Roback stated that the band “never stopped writing or recording. We just stopped performing and releasing things“.

Regarding an upcoming tour the band said an upcoming tour that will kick off in November. “We just decided to release a collection of songs,” he says. “We’re going to be doing more concerts in the future, so we thought it would be exciting to perform some of our unreleased newer songs.”

The idea of the band having a backlog of 17 years worth of unheard material to play live is proving to be a big deal to fans of the cult stars, tickets for their November US tour are going quick!

Seasons Of Your Day‘ is due for release on September 24th.
