Kasabian have posted a demo for a new song on their website. The track follows the posting of the 44-second long, tongue in cheek, ‘Table Tennis Boom Box’ which was recently posted. The new track ‘Narcs’ a piano led psychedelic inspired piece harks back in style to 3rd album West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum.
Earlier this month Kasabian front man Tom Meighan stated there was a “drought” of rock’n’roll bands in the charts.
Meighan said:
“There’s a rock’n’roll drought at the moment, so I’m glad we’re here. People are frightened of making records that sound good on the radio.”
Sergio Pizzorno has also been working on the soundtrack to ‘Noel Fielding’s Luxury Comedy’ and recently stated a spin-off album and tour could be in the works. These two new tracks are of the same style as the music for that show. With ‘Tennis Boom Box’ featuring a ping pong ball as a percussive instrument.
There’s no news as to an official release to either song. Kasabian released their fourth studio album, ‘Velociraptor!’, in September last year.
