Glastonbury boss Michael Eavis has ruled out the possibility of either Fleetwood Mac or Queen headlining next years festival.
Both bands are in the bookmaker’s favourites to headline the pyramid during next June’s festival, however Eavis has told Music Week that neither will be appearing with Fleetwood Mac being “Unavailable”. “Queen? Not Queen, no. Fleetwood Mac don’t seem to be available at the moment. But we’ve got three excellent headliners for next year.”
The odds of Fleetwood Mac are likely to significantly drop but are currently 4/1 favourites to headline next year along with Muse and AC/DC who have 5/1 odds. Kate Bush and Oasis have 8/1 odds and those wanting a more risky bet can potentially maximize their festival beer fund by betting 25/1 on Adele and Robert Plant. Also on the list are U2, The Stone Roses, Coldplay and Noel Gallagher.
The headliners will be announced on April 1st, with one of the artists having “been around for a long time”.
