Fleetwood Mac are currently discussing playing a slot at next year’s Glastonbury festival, according to singer Stevie Nicks.

The band have been rumored heavily to play the Worthy Farm festival for the past few years but haven’t so far managed to reach an agreement to do so.

“Chris (Christine McVie) is excited to come back to London. It’ll be soon, probably May,” singer Stevie Nicks told Uncut. “Glastonbury? You never know. You have to weave festivals in. It’s being discussed.”

McVie rejoined the group earlier this year after previously leaving in 1998. McVie has claimed the reason she left the group was due to fer of flying, which she has now cured. Speaking to Rolling Stone, McVie said “Initially I developed a great fear of flying. It was a real phobia. I also bought a house in England and decided, to a degree, I was really tired of the road. I wasn’t just burned out, but I was tired of traveling and living out of a suitcase. I’m quite a domestic person by nature and the nomad thing had got a bit stale on me, really.”

The band are currently due to commence a mammoth 34 date tour of North America. The tour starts on 30th September in Minneapolis and commences in Tampa on December 20. Stevie Nicks is also due to release 24 ‘Karat Gold – Songs From the Vault’,  a collection of songs she has wrote across her career but never recorded.
