Chris Martin, the lead singer of Paralympic-closing, Indie-Pop juggernauts Coldplay, is going to be a mentor on glorified karaoke show, ‘The Voice’ (the US of A version, of course). Martin will appear on three episodes (which have already been recorded), airing on March 31st, April 1st and April 7th on NBC. His role is to assist all four coaches… humbly-breasted (so you don’t confuse them with mountains) Pop singer, Shakira; immaculately-designer-stubbled, Maroon 5 frontm’n, Adam Levine; nightclub-sex-proponent, Usher and some bloke called Blake Shelton, that no one from the UK’s ever heard of (because he’s a Country singer).
Obviously, Chris Martin has something to promote; Coldplay recently announced details of their sixth album and will release ‘Ghost Stories’ on May 19, 2014. ‘Ghost Stories’ will, of course, be a monster, global hit whether Martin was going on ‘The Voice’ or not, so let’s not judge the guy.
