Hypno-groove dreamboats Tame Impala have reworked ‘Feels Like We Only Go Backwards’ (from 2012 album ‘Lonerism’) for the upcoming Sci-Fi flick ‘Divergent’. What makes this reworking notable is that good kid from the m.A.A.d city of Compton, Kendrick Lamar, has got involved in the collab which is both out-of-the-blue and bloody brilliant. Good work boys!
Elsewhere on the soundtrack there is some real rubbish; Ellie Goulding continues her quest to destroy my soul with her horrible bleating on ‘Beating Heart’ but the OST is rescued by Tame Impala and Kendrick Lamar’s ‘Backwards’ and M83 popping up with the euphoric ‘I Need You’.
You can listen to the OST for ‘Divergent’ in full via the wonderful people at Pitchfork HERE.
