The popular nightclub in South East London, Ministry Of Sound, was threatened with closure due to a housing development being built nearby. As the club naturally produces a lot of sound, there were doubts that people would want to move in to the new housing for fear of noise disturbances at night time.
However, an agreement has been made between the club’s bosses, the London council and property developers Englewood Ltd, and the new buildings will be subject to a high level of sound proofing in order to avoid anywhere having to shut down.
