It’s always a little scary just how quickly festival season looms upon us. The little day festivals are around the corner now, ready to prepare us for a long summer that will consist of the best bands, the blazing sun, probably some mud and undoubtedly too much alcohol that will turn into regret come Monday. One festival we’re especially stoked about is Download Festival, for which this year’s lineup boasts names like System Of A Down, Aerosmith, Rob Zombie and Slayer. While there are some pretty big, exciting names on that bill we decided to take a closer look on some of the bands that may have drowned out amongst the giants at first sight but we’re excited to check out nonetheless.

Dinosaur Pile-Up
Chances are you would have heard of this Leeds-based alternative rock band, or have even caught them at a show as they have toured with the likes of Brand New and Weezer – not too shabby, eh? If you’re looking for something riff-heavy to get you through the weekend, this just might be the answer. We’re just hoping to catch them at Download and be proven right.
