Shit just got real.
Six heavyweight acts have been unveiled to play the hallowed Download Festival 2016 and they have all been around the block a few times, some more than others.
Nu metal veterans Korn, who last appeared in Donington in 2013, were announced first. Closely followed by Deftones, Dave Mustaine’s troops Megadeth, Disturbed and Nightwish. While the whisky swigging, bass slaying, balls to the wall rocker, that is Lemmy, will be back with Motorhead.
The announcements were all made on the BBC Radio 1 Rock Show, presented by Daniel P Carter, on November 8th.
The six titans of rock and metal join headliners Rammstein, Black Sabbath and Iron Maiden for the three-day spectacle, which takes place in June next year.
