Word has just reached us from Download Festival that the one and only Dub War will be returning to the live arena for a special 30 minute set at this years festival! 16 years since they last played live.
For those who don’t know, Dub war was a four piece welsh ragga metal band fronted by the one and only Benji Webbe, now known as one of the greatest front men in the world, the singer for Skindred. At the time the band were seen as pioneers but sadly broke up before they reached their true potential. This news will make a lot of people very excited.
Not much else is known yet about what this means in the long term. Will the band be back permanently? Or will this be just a one off? All we know is that the band will be replacing Ghost Town who have had to drop out. They will be playing a half hour set in one of the tents and Benji has promised that the energy will be – “….Of the fucking chain”.
