Whatever your particularly musical bend, it would take a person who spent all their time under a large rock or deep in the forest of Borneo to deny that 2016 has already been an absolutely mental year for music. The fact that we’re having trouble compiling a Top 20 and we’re only just about 2/3rds of the way through is mind-boggling.
Since we all like having a good time, we decided to pick out some of the tracks released this year that we think would be perfectly apt for a DJ at a rock club to drop to make us go absolutely mental. It’s all there – from songs you drop at the start of the night while everyone’s getting drinks, to songs you play just as everyone starts to get properly drunk, to songs that you play to a club full of people who have never met before but after screaming the lyrics at each other like their lives depend on it.
