In case you missed it, the ever elusive Paramore has today emerged from a three-year hiatus with a new single, video, album announcement, and European tour. Phew.
The single, ‘Hard Times’, is a vibrant, 80s-inspired extravaganza, and its music video is just as colourful.
Paramore has also announced their fifth album After Laughter which is due for release in just over three weeks on May 12th.
Although the return of Paramore no doubt came as a welcome surprise to their fans, the album’s lead single has been somewhat divisive.
Some were overcome with joy:

Others needed a moment to process:
I still can't understand if I like or hate it. But surely it won't be my favorite @paramore song! #hardtimes

After an initial panic, decided new Paramore is fun and okay and we will all be having a nice beer while enjoying it by festival season

A few were really not impressed:
It hurts me so much to say this but I hate the new Paramore track

Maybe it's just not meant for me anymore, but god do I hate the new paramore…

But mostly it was just a whole lot of this:
PARAMORE HAS RISEN, TODAY IS A GOOD DAY, AND THE FUTURE IS LOOKING AMAZING
