Good Charlotte – My Bloody Valentine
This is another song that kind of had to appear in the ultimate anti-Valentine’s Day playlist; firstly because (like a few of the songs in this playlist) it actually does refer to Valentine’s Day, but mostly because Good Charlotte‘s violent tale of unrequited love ‘My Bloody Valentine’ is the epitome of an anti-Valentine’s Day song.
As with a few of the other songs on this playlist, maybe don’t take the sentiment of the song too literally, though; you will probably end up in jail.
Example: “There was police, Flashing lights, The rain came down so hard that night and the headlines read, A lover died, No tell-tale heart was left to find.”
