BBC Radio 1‘s Live Lounge has been around for over a decade now, with the first ever one being Elbow‘s cover of Destiny’s Child back in 2002. Yikes. Fear not however, as over the past decade and a bit, the series has grown to include a multitude of killer hits from bands all over the world, including our beloved rockstars. Here are some of our favourite recent cover versions by some of our favourite rock artists, showing how versatile the talent in the scene really is, from Heaven’s Basement covering Lady Gaga, to Lower Than Atlantis covering Ellie Goulding, and less drastic covers of Bullet For My Valentine tackling AC/DC, everything from the slow and delicate to the brash and fearsome is covered in our picks. But they still rock as hard as ever.
