Picture the scene. You’re there at the NME awards, on a Wednesday night. Having a drink, having a good time. Suddenly, out of nowhere, a skinny tattooed man from Sheffield jumps up on your table and starts breaking everything in the middle of the song he’s singing. Well this is exactly what happened to Coldplay last night, as Oli Sykes of Bring Me The Horizon chose to barge past Chris Martin and co. and promptly start breaking everything on the table, as well as the table itself.
Blogger and Uprawr DJ Zoe London caught the whole thing on camera. You can see the video below:
It’s safe to say that reactions on Twitter have been somewhat mixed. Some have praised Oli for his antics…
Oli Sykes trashing Coldplay’s table at the NME awards is amazing.

…while others thought he was being a bit of a tit…
Seeing BMTH fans worshipping Oli Sykes for “trashing” Coldplay’s table at NME awards as if BMTH in 2016 aren’t just Coldplay with fringes
— Stelz (@PoisonTheStelz) February 18, 2016
Sorry, but I find this absolutely disgusting.

Haha. Someone escaped from the emo enclosure and trashed Coldplay’s table. https://t.co/auHYxr2BCz

…and some are speculating the reason behind the incident.
Oli “destroying” Coldplay’s table at the NME Awards wouldn’t have been that funny if there had not been a drama around their artworks.

Remind me not steal BMTH’s artwork or Oli Sykes will do this to my table
