Hit The Floor sat down with the Wu-Tang Clan legend Raekwon. A founding member of the one of (if not ‘The’) most important hip hop crews in musical history. Raekwon has branched out on his own and established himself as one of the most captivating solo artists from the crew. He even invented his own sub genre of hip hop (Mafioso Rap) with the classic ‘Only Built 4 Cuban Linx‘ which has influenced everyone from early Jay-Z all the way to Rick Ross.
In our part of the world on the eve of the surprise performance with Kanye West (At Koko) Rae also took time out to do a little promo for his upcoming album ‘F.I.L.A.‘ (Fly International Luxurious Art) Amongst how he manages to stay relevant in the constantly evolving nature of hip hop. Also discussed was the controversial million dollar Wu album that only one (very rich person) will hear; his and Ghostface’s verse on JAY Z’s ‘Heaven‘ and if it ever see the light of day and much more.
