Are you as much of a sucker for nostalgia as we are? Here are some albums celebrating an anniversary this month – how many do you still jam to today?

The last few months of the year always seem to be busy in the music scene – there’s always an influx of great tours or a bunch of new albums to obsess over, and we’re so here for it. While there’s plenty of new releases to get excited about this year, we also like to get nostalgic from time to time so here are a few notable October releases celebrating big anniversaries this year.

Dashboard Confessional – The Shade Of Poison Trees

If you’re ever in an emo mood, Dashboard Confessional are one of those bands you can always turn to for the most perfect soundtrack. It seems that Chris Carrabba just gets it, you know? On 2nd October 2007 the band released their fifth album The Shade Of Poison Trees, featuring the singles ‘Thick as Thieves’ and ‘These Bones’. Here’s the most impressive part – the entire album was recorded over a 10 day period!
