Masks, spandex and grease paint are all features of a good costume, but which band has the best? So many bands have an image, some more striking than others, especially those where Halloween seems to be their spirit animal. Glam metal bands such as Mötley Crüe and Steel Panther had a distinct image of tight trousers and little to no shirts but we wouldn’t go as far to say it was a costume but more of an image for that whole era. In a new age of metal bands such as Ghost and Slipknot they offer a whole stage show and take costumes to a whole new level, the question is who is the best costumed band? Well this is what we thought.

A bit of an odd one and not the best costume by any stretch of the imagination but the identity of Buckethead is left to the imagination of everyone. A true mystery the virtuosic guitarist is only recognised by his mask crowned with an empty bucket of chicken.
