Oh my god, how good does Slam Dunk Festival look this year?! All Time Low headlining, NOFX bringing an entire stage of punk rock legends with them, Neck Deep, New Found Glory, Less Than Jake…the list just goes on and on!
But there is certainly more than the big names on the bill to get excited about. Here’s a pick of some of those smaller names on the poster to add to your ‘Must Watch’ lists. You won’t regret it!
Slam Dunk takes place on May 25th (North) and May 26th (South)

Lights
Canadian electro-pop queen Lights is making her first appearance at Slam Dunk and is certainly one not to miss. For those MySpace kids reading, you will probably remember Lights from her hits February Air and Ice back in the day. Lights has come along way since her emo days though and her new maturer sound is pure audio luxury.
Chas Palmer-Williams
An absolute veteran of the UK ska-punk scene, Chas Palmer-Williams is the former vocalist of the legendary Lightyear who dominated the UK underground scene in the mid 00’s. Now rocking out with his acoustic with a more stripped back vibe, Chas still brings the lyrical genius we all came to love in Lightyear to his new project with plenty of British cultural references and humour to crack a smile on anyone’s face. Lovely stuff!
Hellogoodbye
Another blast from Myspace past! What former emo kid doesn’t remember singing their lungs out to this back in the day. If you are looking for an awesome dose of nostalgia with early 2000 synth’s, then Hellogoodbye are a must!
Mad Caddies
If you fancy a dose of ska/reggae goodness then Californias ‘Mad Caddies’ are sure to get the dance floor skanking their butts off. They also hands-down have one of the best horn sections in the genre so you are in for a real treat. Pick it up!
The Bombpops
If you fancy some awesome female fronted punk-rock then The Bombpops have got you well and truly covered. Time to get that circle-pit whirling and pretend like we’re all in the California sun. Bring on the skate-punk revival!
