The brand has created a reputation for themselves by continuously promoting their products through controversial, often sexualised imagery that causes a ruckus amongst the public, and the media alike. On the surface, American Apparel are a wholesome company, who don’t outsource their labour to a cheaper market and create all their clothing locally in Downtown LA, however, they find a way to make people’s blood boil.
