It looks like Paramore front woman Hayley Williams finally let her heart win this week, as she announced her engagement to New Found Glory’s Chad Gilbert via Twitter.
The New Found Glory guitarist and longtime boyfriend surprised the Paramore princess by getting down on one knee and proposing over the holidays.
On Wednesday night, Gilbert posted to Instagram stating: “Popped the question on Christmas day!”. Pretty sweet considering his wild punk rock background. Williams also took to social networks by posting the following image to her Twitter page, along with the tweet “Hey guess what?”.

William’s Twitter was immediately a wash with emotional celebrity friends including: Taylor Swift, Katy Perry and Fall Out Boy member Pete Wentz, all showing their love and support to the couple. Die hard fans also tweeted the Paramore star, some of which were delighted with the news and others, not so much.
