While some fashion girls dream of Galliano returning to Dior, I’ve always been more into fantasising about overseas retailers opening shop in the UK. And while some dreams will just never come true, one of mine has: American style stalwart Madewell has finally started shipping to the UK.
Madewell, in case you didn’t know, is J Crew‘s little sister brand – think J-Crew quality and relaxed design sensibilities, but at a much lower price point – that launched in 2006. The brand has scored some killer collaborations, working with the likes of Sézane and Alexa Chung. Madewell is crazy about denim, which means it may well stock your ~dream~ pair of skinny-but-not-too-skinny jeans. Oh, and if you like your accessories understated, the bags are a dream as well.
