London Fashion Week officially started today but, forever ahead of the game, Alexa Chung kicked off the fashion festivities last night at the launch of Archive by Alexa, her Marks & Spencer collab. In case you didn’t get the memo, it was recently announced that Chung had paired up with the British high street stalwart to create Archive by Alexa, a collection entirely inspired by M&S extensive archives. Given Alexa’s ongoing love affair with 60s and 70s styling, we couldn’t think of a better lady for the job.
While the whole collection wasn’t revealed last night, what we were able to see of Archive by Alexa was pretty friggin dreamy. Her publicist, Liz Matthews, uploaded the picture above to Instagram this morning with a comment best fitted to a proud parent: “V proud of this one. Archive by Alexa is genuinely brilliant and happily so affordable and wearable (sic).” Yes, you heard that right: it’s affordable! You’d better register your interest before it’s too late.
The rest of the 31-piece Archive by Alexa collection will drop April-time. In the interim, click through the gallery to see the pieces that have been unveiled thus far…
