Fake tan is a tricky one, if done badly you can end up with those tell-tale orange streaks which is just not a good look. Another option is shelling out a large amount of money to get it done professionally which again doesn’t always look quite right and means you’ve wasted a lot of time and hard-earned cash. If you struggle to tan naturally or worry about the harmful effects of sun beds, a decent at-home fake tan is a must.
Our favourite at HTF is Rodial Brazilian Tan, after exfoliating and moisturising just apply all over with your hands, you don’t have to worry about patchiness or streaks as it builds up gradually and best of all, after a few applications comes out a nice, subtle, golden-brown glow instead of orange.
Another thing we love about it is the smell, fake-tan can absolutely reek but Rodial’s got a sun-creamy, fresh scent that reminds us of summer. We’ve been trying out the “light” option but it also comes in “clear” which is foolproof for if you’re a little apprehensive, or “dark” for tan-experts.
