Scottish band The View released their fourth studio album ‘Cheeky For A Reason’ in July last year.
In December the band treated fans to a special digital double A-side single which features two tracks from the album: ‘Hold On Now’ and ‘Tacky Tattoo’.
Both tracks are memorable with strong choruses, proving to be two great singles from The View.
‘Hold On Now’ is an upbeat and catchy song with well-polished guitar riffs just like what you would expect from this band. The track reminds me very much of their style that was evident on their first album ‘Hats Off To The Buskers’ back in 2007.
The second track ‘Tacky Tattoo’ is certainly very different from most of their usual songs. It’s a strong ballad that has no guitar or drums but only a piano, which blends perfectly with Kyle Falconer’s unique and soulful voice.
