Up and coming pop artist Sam Gray has been extremely busy since BBC Radio 2 play-listed his debut single ‘Cartwheel Queen’ in October 2011. Since then he’s travelled around the UK as a support act on tours with Charlie Simpson, East 17 and The Overtones. He was also named Caffe Nero’s featured artist for November and December 2011, which coincided with a nationwide tour of their coffee shops.
Here at HTF we believe that Sam’s success is going to keep on growing, especially as his newest single ‘This Girl’ is to be released on the 5th August, just in time for summer.
Sam brings something new and refreshing to today’s pop music with his strong song writing and his soulful and distinctive voice. ‘This Girl’ is upbeat with a catching melody and truthful lyrics, yet it also has wonderful acoustic sound to it too. The song has quite a unique feel to it, resembling a mixture between the distinctive vocals of John Mayer and the pop sound of Olly Murs. I guarantee ‘This Girl’ is going to be the perfect summer track, and after this song has hit the airwaves, I’m sure Sam will have many more girls to worry about after all the attention he is certain to get!
Sam has a lot going for him at the moment; having released many songs, a debut album ‘Brighter Day’ and his fan base is constantly growing. Sam’s also scheduled to perform at many upcoming events this summer, including Cornbury Festival on July 1st, The Formula 1 Santander British Grand Prix on July 6th and The Secret Garden Party on July 21st.
