Release: Poison City EP
Barely a year old, Generation Graveyard have been freshly spewed from the London gutters looking like Motley Crue brawling with The Misfits in an abattoir. Their sound is a dark brand of doom ridden punk with a dash of modern hardcore, fastened together by catchy chorus hooks.
Opener ‘Posion City’ kicks off with sludgy distorted bass then downtuned guitars and gravely vocals are added before heading into a surprisingly melodic chorus, proving vocalist Max has more up his sleeve than gruff punk growling alone.
All Hail The Plague’ is a steady building prophecy of the end with a huge gang vocal chorus and a solid guitar solo for good measure.
Final track ‘Murder Rock’n’Roll’ sums up their style perfectly with one foot firmly in the punk rock old school while big riff heavy breakdowns show their modern influences. It’s a big glorious melting pot of styles that will please anyone who likes their daily dose of darkness with a little melody amongst all that doom!
