From the moment opener ‘Virtue’ kicks off from Empires Fade‘s debut EP ‘Reflection’, it is easy to see why this group of lads from Manchester are already one of Kerrang! magazines top unsigned bands of 2012.
The EP packs an almighty punch. Raw and visceral with an obvious ear for technicality and talent, songs such as ‘Highest Highs’ really push you to the edge and bring you back for more. Throughout the EP’s five tracks, vocalist Callum Galbraith bellows and screams with such energy and power that it will have even Winston McCall worrying!
Fans of Empires Fade music will love it! Obvious inspiration from August Burns Red and The Acacia Strain lead to the bands obvious passion and love for there craft. Fans of such influences seeking more diversity may be slightly disappointed as it is easy for these five tracks to blend together.
This however is merely a young band finding there feet and there is a lot to be excited about from Empires Fade. Most certainly ones to watch.
