Bedford boys Don Broco were one of 2012’s biggest rock successes. Their first album ‘Priorities‘ debuted at number 25 in the top 40 album chart, they comfortably smashed festival stages all over the country, and played their biggest UK tour to date on the Rock Sound Riot Tour. One of the main reasons for their success is that Priorities is made up of so many potential singles, and this time it’s ‘Fancy Dress‘ that’s been selected to do the rounds on radios and music channels across the UK and beyond.
There’s a distinct indie feel to ‘Fancy Dress‘, but with far more excitement and energy. The chorus is a complete belter, and it’s virtually impossible to resist a sing-a-long when the track gets into motion. It’s the kind of track that justifies their enthusiastic stage presence, and certainly brings some fun back into rock music.
‘Fancy Dress‘ is typical Broco and is by no means better than any of the rest on Priorities, but that’s testament to such a great record. If you like it as a stand-alone, get the album (if you haven’t already).
