The first track ‘Me Want Cookie‘ samples bits of the Cookie Monster from Sesame Street. Despite using samples it is still great example of Tony Cook‘s ability. This is because instead of using one sample to introduce the first drop and then having an average track play through – like most samples used these days – he uses different samples all the way through and each and everyone of them springboards brilliant beats and drops.
Track 2 ‘Frontline‘ is gritty to say the least. There are no huge drops which in this case is a good thing. This track is just showcasing what Tony can do and he has created something fresh in this tune. It is a very light example of dub-step meaning it is something that can be and is (by me) listened to all day every day. It is a track with great depth. Every time you listen to it there is something new gracing you ears.
If you were only going to buy one track of this EP, which would be a silly idea, buy track 3 ‘You Can Do It‘. This track combines all the best things from all the tracks on the EP and is my personal favourite. Tony continuously breaks down the beats, adding new sounds and times to them, making this a very exciting track to listen to.
The only way to describe the fourth track ‘R0807 D06‘ is imagine the sound of Transformers have very passionate / violent sex, which in this case is a good thing. This tune is pure filth, grit and heavy dirt. I had to shower after listening to this last track.
This EP is just down right dirty the whole way through, however not one track is the same. This is an EP for the hardened and experienced Dub-step fan but is also perfect for people only just finding a passion in Dub-step. Anyway every wants to know what it sounds like when a transformer orgasms.
