Name: Britney Spears
Release: Hold It Against Me (Single)
Release Date: Out Now
Americaʼs favourite bombshell has exploded back onto the new decadeʼs pop scene with sure fire club banger Hold It Against Me. In her latest effort, Brit galvanises her trademark candyfloss vocals over layers of dubstep hooks with such ease, leaving those who have braved this genre splice minefield before sobbing into their sub-10 tracks (sorry Kelly Rowland!).
Sure the track is as commercial as ever but that is why we love her, right? She is the girl the world just canʼt get enough of afterall. By the end of the synthed up intro, your mesmerized little toes will be tapping with enviable bpm as you give you larynx its own special workout. Hold It Against Me still effects Britʼs signature formula to create sonic sunshine bursting through the winter drear but this year, in a far more grown up way.
Sheʼs done it again, and thereʼs not an OOPS! in sight. A well deserved two thumbs up. Could 2011 be the Year of Britney?
