HTF were lucky enough to witness the last date of the Bowling For Soup acoustic tour at the Koko Lounge in Camden, London. This tour was a popular rarity as both support acts were individual projects of the main band. Bassist and fantastic song writer Erik Chandler performed a solo set to promote the release of his debut solo EP that coincided with this tour.
Jaret’s other band People On Vacation also released an EP to coincide with this tour so they were naturally the second support for the tour. Both supports were to prove that their is another side to the BFS jokers we have learnt to love so much. A heartfelt performance from both acts warmed up the audience nicely for what they had been waiting for.
This being the second time I have personally seen these Bowling For Soup songs sang acoustically, we knew what to expect. It was an awesome way to view the band in a different light, proving how talented these guys really are. A heartfelt vocal from Jaret throughout the unpredictable set list and exceptional guitar work from both members insured the audience leaving with a huge smile on their faces.
Highlighting tracks being ‘Emily’ and ‘The Girl All The Bad Guys Want‘, songs which every single rock lover knows the lyrics too. This making the performance even more special and intimate to watch.
