The classic ‘cat eye’ eyeliner look: easy on principle, something of a nightmare in practice. Many of us will attest to the genuine difficulty of getting your eyeliner just right… and if you manage to perfect the look on one eye, it’s almost inevitable that you’ll mess up the other eye and consequently spend ages dabbing away at it with a Q-tip until it looks acceptable. The struggle, ladies, is real.

Alexa Chung has many talents, one of which being her ability to nail her eyeliner every single time. So when she put her name behind Brit brand Eyeko‘s range of eye make up, mass speculation began over the products; namely, will the eyeliners really give us mere mortals perfectly-painted eyes à la Miss Chung?

Having tried out the Eyeko Skinny Liquid Eyeliner for ourselves, the answer to that question would be a resounding YES. Available in brown, navy and black, the liner comes up trumps, allowing even the most heavy-handed of users to create defined lines and feline flicks. As the name suggests, the felt tip-style brush is slim enough to create beautifully detailed or dramatic looks with just a few flicks of the wrist, hassle-free.

Another plus point is the liner’s staying power and smudge-proof finish – we have worn it to work, for nights out and for long days spent outside in the sun, and our eyeliner has stayed put throughout – even though it’s extremely easy to remove before bed. The colours are very strong, too, so you can say goodbye to ‘black’ eyeliners that actually come out grey on the skin.

We highly rate this eyeliner, which you can buy directly from Eyeko’s official website here for £12.
