C2C – Down The Road EP (Review)

We got our hands on an early copy of C2C’s ‘Down The Road’. Find out what we thought of the EP here.

Artist: C2C
Release: Down The Road EP
Release Date: May 7th 2012

It’s not every day you receive an EP from four times World DMC winners to review, but this week we did!

C2C are a highly rated DJ group consisting of 20syl, Greem, Atom and Pfel who have decided to take a break from the hectic battle circuit and focus on the release of their new EP ‘Down The Road‘.

The lead track on the EP is ‘Down The Road’ which is built to dance to, but I don’t mean dance in the club, I mean a dance down the street and interact with anyone and anything. See a pole? Swing around it! See a random person? Take their hand and two step with them! ‘Down The Road‘ has an energy which will make you smile, this is happy music at its best, if you can’t enjoy ‘Down The Road‘ then you can’t enjoy music. Simple.

With the EP offering five tracks in total, it is certainly a great way to introduce themselves to a wider audience and whilst this is club music at its best, the big question is whether the mainstream will fall in love with it. I believe so. With summer just around the corner this blues-meets-electronic sound could sit as the perfect, upbeat BBQ party sound.

With a release date of May 7th, we can only recommend that you buy this EP and fall in love with it as much as we have.

Keep your eyes peeled for when C2C hit up the UK!
