First and foremost we would like to extend a massive thank you to The Academy Is… for never stopping playing with our feelings even from their figurative grave. The band recently posted the above image on their Facebook page, and if you’re a TAI fan you would recognise it as a Santi-era photo. Considering that the record was released in April 2007 and we are now 10 years down the line, this smells an awful lot like an anniversary celebration tease. We have a few theories on what they could be up to.
10-Year Anniversary Tour
Considering how the band reunited back in 2015 to celebrate 10 years of their debut album Almost Here, we think it is highly probable that the band will reunite once more to take Santi out for a spin on the road. Unfortunately for us over here in the UK, this will most likely be a US tour.
Santi 10-Year Edition Release
Should they not be heading out on tour, The Academy Is… could probably be re-releasing their sophomore album , with some added bonuses of course. Perhaps some demos for bonus tracks? Or maybe they’re pressing Santi on vinyl or cassette?
Toying With Our Feelings
Maybe, just maybe, they won’t be doing anything at all to celebrate the album. Maybe they’ve updated their social media as a big fat LOL (we’re hoping and are fairly certain this isn’t the case though).
