Nicki Minaj announced via her official Twitter account the release date for highly anticipated album ‘The Pinkprint‘. Hip Hop’s first lady has a lot to live up to as her previous two albums ‘Pink Friday’ and ‘Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded’ after they both hit the number spot in the Billboard Chart.
However Hip Hop fans have struggled to accept Nicki’s success as a positive for the music culture as her more recognisable songs target a Pop audience. Leading up to ‘The Pinkprint’ she released songs like ‘Lookin’ Ass’ and ‘Chi-raq Remix’ gave her Rap fans a glimpse of hope that Nicki was back doing what she does best, Rapping. The hope is now in doubt after Poppy hits like, Pills & Potions and her recent hit, Anaconda.
With that being said we will have to wait until the release date of 24th November before we can judge The Pinkprint and see whether Nicki Minaj has lived up to all the hype and expectation.
