Lord of the Mics 3 has been confirmed, yes thats right.
For those that don’t know Lord of the Mics has had 2 previous releases which has seen some of the biggest grime scene battles filmed and put out their for fans to vote on.
To be asked to take part in Lord of the Mics is a privilege and only the elite are offered the opportunity, but it is somewhat intense and can easily put a black mark against your name if you flop, or equally it can build up your standing in the scene if you come correct.
Take a look at the history of this institution and you will recognise some of the biggest names, Kano, Wiley, Skepta, Dizzee Rascal, Crazy Titch, Tinchy Stryder, Scratchy, SLK, Bruza and many many many more, with some of the biggest battles still talked about today.
At the moment there is a lot of talk on twitter about who will battle who and it seems that at the moment we can confirm Rival Vs Desperado, D Power Vs Wariko, Marger Vs LayZ, Clipson Vs Jammin, the first ever female battle of No-Lay vs OG Niki (Possibly the biggest mismatch in history), Shifty Vs Sox amongst many other battles yet to be confirmed.
It would be nice to see some of the Old Skool veterans step back in to the hotseat and go at it, but equally Lord of the Mics was always about making your mark and therefore it’s likely that we will mainly see the newer breed of MCs take to the stage in Lord of the Mics 3.
The biggest talk on twitter at the moment is Kozzie calling out Griminal to battle him but that does not look likely and with Kozzie seemingly up for the battle it will definately take a big personality to take him on at the moment.
Jammer has already been hard at work in promoting Lord of the Mics 3 and has already released 4 warm up videos from Wariko, D Power, Rival and Desperado (Watch below).
