Looks like this is a massive bit of great news for Krept & Konan!
Last week they were nominated for best newcomers at the MOBO nomination launch, confirming their successful year. This week the most exciting, unstoppable, unsigned rap duo to come out of the UK have now done something historical, they have entered the Top 20 of the official album charts as independent artists with a mixtape titled ‘Young Kingz‘.
The duo who have no label and no national radio or TV support decided to release their mix tape to fans completely independently, even management took a backseat on their latest ‘underground’ release which has broken all of the rules and beaten new released from UB40 and John Legend.
Defying the rules and surpassing expectations, Krept & Konan have opened people’s eyes to future possibilities, and done what others thought was impossible. They received congratulations from people such as Tinie Tempah, Skepta, Giggs, G Frsh, Twin B, Zeon Richards, Jamal Edwards and many more.
‘Young Kingz’ is out now via all music retailers along with three videos released via YouTube ‘My Story’ and ‘Don’t Waste My Time’ (which have gained over 680,000 views and counting. ‘Too Young’ featuring fellow Play Dirty associate Yungen is the latest video to be released from the tape.
