46 year old director, John Singleton is expected to re-write, direct and produce a biopic about the life of rap legend Tupac Shakur. The film is slated to include the rise of Pac as one of the best hip hop artists to have ever lived as well as his sadly unsolved murder in Las Vegas in 1996. This presents a huge project for any director due to the huge following/fan-base of Tupac; however, it seems no one is more capable of telling the story more than Singleton who was very close to the artist and was deeply saddened by his passing. He said ‘His (Tupac’s) passing deeply affected my life as well as countless people in this world. His life story is as important to my generation.‘.
