HTF managed to talk to the brilliant fresh talent who goes by the name, Mickey2Time. Mickey has recently has just released the brilliant EP, Timeless and we spoke out it, his feature and the festive season!
HTF: Hey Mickey, thanks for spending some time with us here at HTF. First off how are you?
Mickey2Time: I’m cool, just been working hard on the promotion of my new releases whilst working on future projects.
HTF: So your new EP called Timeless is out, happy with the outcome?
Mickey2Time: I have been working on music for years and it was around March this year I decided to focus on it seriously. I can honestly say with production, creative artistic style, delivery and all round as an artist I am happy with the outcome of the project.
HTF: What’s your favourite track from the EP?
Mickey2Time: That’s a hard question for me to answer because it changes day to day! If I am in my car I like to rock back to “One Of Them Ones”, going out I like to listen to “Round The Way” if its production wise then my first single “Man Of the Moment”. If I had to pick one on the spot I would say “Round The Way”.
HTF: Who was the best person to work with on the EP?
Mickey2Time: I wanted to get my sound across so I only worked with one producer and had three features. One is Kira, he is a friend and singer that I have worked with for years. Gusto is my brother and part of any collective projects that I have ever done and bossy b is a friend, fellow artist and engineer of this project. My nothing but talent team as well as MCTV all helped with the creativity side for the visuals on this project so to pick one person to class as the best person to work with I couldn’t say.
HTF: Who would you like to work with in future projects?
Mickey2Time: Any artist that I feel has a sound that would compliment my own.
HTF: With the EP released what do you have next in store for you fans?
Mickey2Time: The first single “Man Of The Moment” is out now. You can watch that on you tube or on Grime daily. Look out for up and coming videos for all the tracks from the E.P, the next is “Practice What You Preach” being released on my birthday December 16th. Also look out for an up and coming project next year with producer T-Gully.
HTF: With Christmas around the corner we were wondering, what’s on your Christmas list this year?
Mickey2Time: Success.
HTF: What was the worse Christmas present you have ever received?
Mickey2Time: Socks.
HTF: What was the best Christmas present you have ever received?
Mickey2Time: Money.
