Accompanied by a simple yet effective video, the single is set to introduce Des’Tiny to the music scene both in the UK and overseas, and begin what is sure to be a long and fruitful career in 2012 and beyond” is what the PR had to say about Des’Tiny and after listening to ‘Don’t You Let Go‘ we found it hard to disagree.
With that in mind we hooked up with Des’Tiny for a quick chat where she introduces herself using only the letters in her name, the current single and plans for the future.
HTF: Hi Des’Tiny, thanks for taking the time out to speak to us at HTF, how are you?
Des’Tiny: I’m great thanks
HTF: Can you introduce yourself using the letters from your name?
Des’Tiny: D- Dreamer.. I have big dreams!
E- Easy going
S- Sarcastic
T- Trust worthy
I- Industrious
N- Nerdy. I can be a right nerd, I like that.
Y- Young
HTF: Can you tell us the meaning behind your debut single ‘Don’t You Let Go’?
Des’Tiny: Yeah, it’s a real mellow love song about being in a relationship with somebody who your completely taken back by and in love with.
HTF: How important is it to you that you can write your own songs?
Des’Tiny: It’s really important to me. I wouldn’t feel like a musician if I couldn’t write my own songs, I’d feel more like a puppet. I like being my own boss when it comes to music, I’m not saying I’d turn down a great song if it was offered to me though, haha.
HTF: Would you write for other people?
Des’Tiny: Yeah I definately would, although sometimes I do get quite shy when I show people songs for the first time.
HTF: What is it about music that has drawn you in?
Des’Tiny: Its the best way of expressing myself. Performing is what I love to do, there’s nothing like it. I want to perform everyday.
HTF: Who would you say are your biggest inspirations musically and non-musically?
Des’Tiny: Beyonce, she’s just effortlessly amazing. I love love love Stevie Wonder aswell.
HTF: With the release of your single, will we see an ep or album this year?
Des’Tiny: Well I have a few more singles being released later on, and then eventually my album.
HTF: Where can we catch you live this year? You know we will have to come say hi!

HTF: Can you tell us the most randomest thing you have ever done?
Des’Tiny: I’m constantly doing random and crazy things. I’m a real weird person, haha, you’ll always catch me doing something random.
