Aunt to late rapper 2Pac, Assata Shakur has become the first woman on the F.B.I’s wanted list. Assata Shakur was convicted for the 1973 murder of police officer Werner Foerster in 1977, but escaped prison 2 years later. Werner Foerster was shot in the head by Assata when she was pulled over for a broken tail light. A member of the Black Liberation Front, she is now on the F.B.I’s official list for Most Wanted Terrorists, after being on the run for 35 years. Assata reportedly lives in Cuba and there is a $2 million (£1.2 million) reward for her capture.
