Today’s pick comes to you from none other than South London electro-outfit, Formation. I feel the need to bring this band to your attention now before their highly anticipated debut album drops early in 2017. Formed by twin brothers, Will and Matt Ritson, speaking about what they stand for, they say;
“Formation means people coming together to express or celebrate something great. So we stand for a lot of things but ultimately it’s about standing together.”
Here we have a peek at their newest single ‘Ring’ which was performed exclusively at their Liverpool headline slot, at the new Dr Martens Stand For Something Tour.
Often compared to the likes of LCD Soundsystem, they seem to be flying high on that accolade, having played host to a number of successful festival sets this summer.
If you’ve been lucky enough to catch these two while they are still relatively on the down low, then you won’t need me to tell you that their infectious beats and massive live presence are enough to set them soaring into 2017. We see some big things ahead for this band. Keep your eyes peeled and your ears to the ground. Formation are the ones to watch.
